As we exit this Thanksgiving season and prepare for the Christmas season, we indeed have plenty to be thankful for! Life, activity of our limbs, the ability to read this post…..I could go on, but I think you get the point. Being thankful not only is limited to November, but should be extended to each and every day we are granted. From being thankful, we next can move to being thoughtful! Thinking, contemplating, planning, processing, and producing play a role in all of our lives. Regardless of the role, function, and position we are privileged to have, we may from time to time need some pieces of information to motivate, guide and navigate our various paths we have been appointed to travel.
These “pieces” may be huge, but also, these pieces can be tiny in nature. In life, I have discovered many times the smallest, most tiny pieces have aided and assisted in captivating thoughts and also aided in fostering more of a thankful disposition for me personally. Over the course of our lives, we have had significant influences, experiences, and people who have given us a boost in times we were at our lowest. There have been very devastating valleys in our lives, but it may have been through a word of encouragement, and inspiration, you were able to come out of the valley, and to soar to the mountain top! The word you received may have been huge in nature, but also there may have been a tiny, thoughtful word which picked you up out of the ditch and placed you in a place where you could again function and flow.
These tidbits set you up in a place to make you think, be thoughtful and placed in a greater position that the position which you were in. Positioning and being in position often requires a bit of thought, but we must remain thankful we are in a place to be positioned! Strategic positioning is key in the occupation of law enforcement. If you are in the wrong position, this could be the difference between you surviving your respective watch, or having your respective watch come to an end. Being in the proper position can also aid and assist others who may come to your aid. Your very position not only helps you, but also helps others as well.
To be in position, we need proper training, direction, and thoughtful guidance to be adequately prepared. In many opportunities I have had to train, there has always been a manual. The manual is a tool to aid and assist in the overall preparation for what is being trained. In the manual, there are exercises, there are techniques shown, recommendations, and tips needed to insure you have properly mastered the material found in the manual. In life, there are many self-help manuals, and other things we utilize to help us move toward our assigned place in life.
We at Kingdom First Consulting have come up with a “manual” of sorts entitled “Tiny, Thoughtful Tidbits: Small Sayings that Shape.” This resource will help assist you in the proper placement and positioning to help you as you head toward your designed place in life! Places of employment, leadership, faith are just a few places “Tiny, Thoughtful Tidbits: Small Sayings that Shape” cover in detail with great quotes, wisdom and inspiration. Being thankful and thoughtful involves intentionality on your part. Be intentional and grab your key to proper placement to fulfill your assignment!
